As part of its ongoing mission to prepare young people for the labour market, the Don Bosco Salesian Institute in Cairo hosted the third edition of the Don Bosco Job Fair 2026 on Saturday, 10 October 2026. The event was held under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Work and inaugurated by H.E. Dr Hassan Raddad, Minister of Work.
The job fair brought together 40 companies from various sectors, offering 1,435 job opportunities, including 1,168 positions in technical occupations, representing approximately 81% of the total opportunities available.
The event provided young technicians and engineers with the opportunity to meet employers directly, submit their CVs, learn more about labour market requirements, and explore new career opportunities.
This edition holds special significance as it coincides with the Institute’s centenary celebrations, marking 100 years of educational service (1926–2026). For a century, Don Bosco Salesian Institute in Cairo has remained committed to technical education and vocational training, equipping generations of young Egyptians with the knowledge and practical skills needed to enter the labour market and contribute to society’s development.
During his visit, H.E. the Minister of Work toured the Institute’s technical workshops and explored the training facilities and equipment used to prepare students and trainees for professional careers. He also presented graduation certificates to beneficiaries of the free vocational training grants, highlighting the importance of vocational training in developing skills and expanding employment opportunities.
The success of the job fair underscores the importance of cooperation between educational and training institutions and the private sector. Such partnerships help align educational outcomes with labour market needs, strengthen youth employment prospects, and support economic development.
Don Bosco Salesian Institute in Cairo extends its sincere appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Work and the Ministry’s team for their trust and support, and to all participating companies for their commitment to investing in young people’s skills and potential. The Institute also acknowledges the efforts of its students, volunteers, and organising team, as well as the media organisations that covered the event and helped share its message.
As it celebrates its centenary, Don Bosco Salesian Institute in Cairo remains committed to connecting technical education and vocational training with labour market needs, firmly believing that investing in young people’s skills means investing in their future and the future of society.
