“Hello, hello… What’s your name?
My name is Bartolomeo.”
With these simple words began the dialogue between Saint John Bosco and the young Bartolomeo Garelli—a dialogue that became the first spark for the foundation of the Oratory and a pedagogical mission rooted in love, acceptance, and closeness to young people.
In an atmosphere filled with joy, energy, and a strong sense of family, we celebrated the anniversary of the founding of the Oratory. Participants learned about the character of Bartolomeo Garelli and his role at the beginning of Don Bosco’s mission, and everyone joined together in praying the Angelus with Don Bosco and Bartolomeo.
The celebration included a wide variety of recreational and interactive activities, such as a games festival, theatrical performances, animation activities, talent showcases, a tombola event, and the distribution of league prizes, all in an atmosphere of joy and participation.
This day truly reflected the authentic spirit of the Oratory—as a space for joy, encounter, and human and spiritual growth—affirming the ongoing mission of Don Bosco in embracing young people and building a community founded on love and cooperation
