As part of its ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, the Salesian Institute in Cairo celebrated the graduation of a new batch of 500 young men and women, out of a total of 1,745 trainees, who benefited from the ministry’s free scholarship program. These trainees were trained in 23 essential professions needed in both the local and international labor markets.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Father Simon Zakaria, Regional Director of Salesians in the Middle East, and Minister of Labor, Mr. Mohamed Gibran, who handed over the certificates to the graduates, which are accredited by the institute, the Italian Embassy, and the Ministry of Labor. The graduates had received specialized training in technical, vocational, and language skills to meet the demands of the job market in Egypt and abroad.

Distinguished Collaboration with the Ministry of Labor

The institute continues to collaborate with the Ministry of Labor to offer advanced training programs, where Egyptian youth are trained practically according to international standards, enhancing their competitiveness in both local and international job markets. This partnership reflects the directives of the political leadership, emphasizing the need to develop vocational education and align training with market demands.

A Promising Future for Graduates

The event was also attended by the Italian Ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Michele Quaroni, who highlighted the importance of cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the field of vocational training. Father Morcos Helmy, Director of the Institute, praised the Salesian Institute’s role in training Egyptian youth and equipping them with the skills needed to face the challenges of the labor market. He emphasized that the institute not only focuses on technical and vocational training but also follows a holistic educational approach that fosters life skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to different work environments. He added that the institute continues to offer exceptional educational opportunities aimed at enhancing technical, vocational, and soft skills required by both the local and global markets, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for a rapidly changing job market.

New Employment Opportunities for Graduates

At the end of the event, a job fair was organized with the participation of 29 companies to provide employment opportunities for the graduates, opening up new career paths for them in various sectors.
