The first phase of the “Archaeology in Schools” project concluded last Friday, February 21, with a guided visit to Saqqara. This project was organized by the Archaeological Center of the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo (CAI-IIC) and the School Affairs Office of the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the Don Bosco Institute in Cairo.
This visit rewarded 41 students who passed the final exam of the “Archaeology in Schools” training program, which aims to raise awareness of archaeological heritage as part of cultural identity, in addition to considering it as an economic and professional resource for those who specialize in technological fields.
The Institute’s administration expresses its thanks to Professor Maria Luisa for accompanying the students during this experience.
