“Hello, hello… What’s your name?
My name is Bartolomeo.”

With this simple encounter, the story of the Oratory began, when Saint John Bosco opened his heart to the young Bartolomeo Garelli, giving birth to an educational and human mission whose essence is love, acceptance, and faith in the abilities of young people.

In an atmosphere filled with joy, vitality, and a strong spirit of family, we celebrated the anniversary of the founding of the Oratory—a day that brought together learning, fun, and human and spiritual growth. The celebration began with a speech by Father Morcos, Director of the Institute, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the role of the Oratory as a safe space that embraces students and gives them the freedom to express their talents with confidence and without fear of criticism.

The celebration was also honored by the presence of His Excellency the Italian Ambassador, who expressed his gratitude for being among the students, praising the diverse talents they presented and the positive spirit that reflects Don Bosco’s mission of encouragement and inclusion.

The day included a variety of interactive and recreational activities, such as a games festival, theatrical performances, animation activities, talent shows, a tombola event, and the distribution of league prizes, all within an atmosphere of joy and active participation.

Everyone also shared a special spiritual moment through the Angelus prayer with Don Bosco and Bartolomeo, keeping the message alive in hearts and minds.

This celebration truly expressed the authentic spirit of the Oratory—as a home open to all, a space for joy and encounter, and a place where young people grow both humanly and spiritually—continuing the journey of Don Bosco and the message of hope that began with that simple meeting.
