Those wishing to enroll must pass a placement test (for those who do not hold a B1 course certificate).
Course description:
The B2 level is often referred to as the ‘Above Intermediate Level’. As a B2 level English speaker, you can engage in conversations on a variety of concrete and abstract topics. You may not know a lot of technical vocabulary, but you can still convey complex ideas, explanations, experiences, or concepts with moderate accuracy.
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field.
They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers entirely possible without stress for either party.
It can produce clear and detailed text on a wide range of topics and explain a point of view on a topical issue while giving advantages and disadvantages to the different options.
Topics covered during the course:
How to make polite suggestions, offers, requests, express opinions, approve and reject
When do we use ‘must’ and ‘have to’
How to book a trip, show interest and make social arrangements
Ask more difficult questions
Understand and tell jokes
Talk about the future and make predictions
How to use your voice, tense and tone to clarify meaning
Listen to specific information in different contexts on radio, television, lectures, or talk to someone
Use formal and informal English in appropriate settings, including over the phone.
Vocabulary on topics such as leisure, art, work, life events, literature, society and weather.
How to read, find key points and ideas, and predict words out of context.
How to use existing knowledge of grammar and word order to discover meaning and confirm understanding.
Learn how to improve reading and understanding of unfamiliar words.

Course dates:
Twice a day, a week, three hours of lecture
Scoring method:
– 5% of behavior during the session.
– 5% of attendance and tardiness
– 20% of practical exercises.
– 20% mid-cycle exam.
– 50% of the final exam for the course.
Lowest passing score (60%)
