Course description:
Once you reach level B1 in English, your English language abilities are at ‘Intermediate’ level. This means that you can speak and understand English in matters relating to your daily routine. You can also be more descriptive about your life and experiences. Finally, you can talk (using relatively simple terms) about more abstract or subjective topics, such as aspirations, dreams, or opinions.
Can understand key points of clear normative input on familiar matters regularly encountered at work, school, leisure, etc.
He can handle most situations that are likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken.
It can produce simple, connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
It can describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and aspirations and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

- practical English – at airports, hotels and restaurants; at the doctor
- Use stress and intonation effectively
- Ask for information and give instructions.

- Understand the main points when listening to presentations.
- Hear important information in short novels and explanations.
- Lots of new adverbs, adverbs, adjectives, verbs.
- Grammar (including the tenses, conditionals, simple and continuous of the present perfect).
- Decode words using context, phonemic and formal knowledge.
- Get information from illustrations, maps, graphs, and annotations.
- Give oral notes, write book and movie reviews, emails and informal letters.
- Use the dictionary to find the meanings of words.
- Use punctuation and capitalization.

- Construct simple and complex sentences using conjunctions, such as ‘and’ and ‘but’.

Course dates:
Twice a week, three hours of lecture
Scoring method:
– 5% of behavior during the session.
– 5% of attendance and tardiness
– 20% of practical exercises.
– 20% mid-cycle exam.
– 50% of the final exam for the course.
Lowest passing score (60%)
