The graduation ceremony for the Salesian Institute “Don Bosco” pupils for the academic year 2022/2023 was observed today, Thursday, by Ambassador Michele Quaroni, the Italian ambassador to Cairo, and Dr. Reda Hegazy, the Minister of Education and Technical Education.
Dr. Domenico Dammartinis, the Scientific Attaché, Dr. Raffaele Bentaglio, the Cultural Attaché, Michele Peppe, the Deputy Director of the “Don Bosco” Institute, Rami Halim, the Superintendent of the Institute and the Egyptian Director of the School, and Dr. Alberto Coto, the world champion mathematician, were present when this occurred. Dr. Annalisa Wagner is the Educational Coordinator at the Italian Embassy. Al-Dhanki, the head of regional centralization Sahar Abu Zeid, the general head of the Production Efficiency Department Major General Khaled Kamal Abu Mandour, and several leaders in education in the Al-Sahel Educational Administration.
Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized in her speech the desire of the Egyptian government to have an educational product that is qualified for both self-development and the labor market. This product is the student, for whom the Ministry of Education is preparing a curriculum based on the government program, which is primarily focused on employment, security protection, and human development in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Minister commended the institute, pointing out that it stresses the overall development of the individual from the personal, mental, and emotional components, allowing him to grow as a person, rather than only academic courses.
Since the institute focuses on helping students develop their mental, emotional, and personal qualities as well as equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in the future, the Minister also praised the graduates’ skills, which allow them to continue learning and succeeding. This is the most significant quality of the institute.
The Italian Ambassador to Cairo, Michele Quaroni, for his part, thanked Dr. Reda Hegazy and emphasized that the graduates of today deserve recognition for having realized the dream of perseverance. They, along with their families, made many sacrifices and provided a great deal of support to enable their children to reach this level of success today.
The “Don Bosco” Institute’s deputy director, Michele Pippe, welcomed the guests and said that the graduates’ success today is the product of their hard work and that they are valuable members of the “Don Bosco” family. He thanked the students for their persistence in following their dreams and their confidence, which he said was the key to their success. Realizing the ideal and helping parents support and encourage their kids because success was a team effort involving many individuals rather than an individual.
A number of graduating students received honors from Dr. Reda Hegazy, who wished them well in their future endeavors and careers.
