Within the framework of the “Egypt and the European Union” Egyptian-European Investment Conference, which Cairo is hosting
The Higher Technical Institute for New Technologies Made in Italy, the Don Bosco Institute, New Cairo University of Technology, and the Italian company Danieli signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a program in mechatronics technology. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Ambassador Michele Quaroni, Ambassador of Italy, testified. To further develop the biomedical technology program, a second memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Don Bosco Institute, the 6th of October Technological University, the Higher Technical Institute for New Technologies Made in Italy, and the Italian company Polygon Solutions.
With a focus on biomedical technology at the 6th of October University of Technology and mechatronics at the New Cairo University of Technology, the two memorandums of understanding seek to incorporate the educational model of the Higher Technical Institute for New Technologies made in Italy. The two memorandums further specify that academic degrees earned by graduates of Italian postsecondary institutions in collaboration with New Cairo Technological University and Sixth of October Technological University shall be recognized.
