The Salesian Don Bosco Institute, Siemens Mobility, and GIZ collaborated to organize a “Career Day” that was attended by Ms. Yasmine Al-Sayed, Ms. Maryam Ayman, and Ms. Yara, as well as Mr. Mahmoud Attia, Human Resources Officer in the Middle East and Africa, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Saadani, Director of Training and Learning in the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Mahmoud Attia opened the event with a speech. He presented the company’s planned high-speed train project, which it plans to implement in the upcoming years in collaboration with the Egyptian government. He emphasized the project’s significance in promoting tourism and establishing a land transportation network between tourist attractions. Additionally, Mr. Ahmed Al-Saadani described The significance of this project to Egypt and the ongoing requirement for skilled professionals to maintain this massive undertaking.
On the other hand, Maryam and Yasmine conducted thorough training sessions with the goal of equipping participants with the information and abilities required to succeed in job interviews. In order to boost their confidence and experience, the participants engaged in experimental interviews after the presentation, which concluded with basic advice for conducting a successful interview.
Mr. Milan, Siemens’s train delivery supervisor, was present when 47 students from the third and fifth grades went through job interviews the following day. More than 20 students passed the first round of interviews, and some of them will conduct follow-up technical interviews for Siemens training. Everyone expressed their happiness and satisfaction with the students’ performance in the interviews.
The students’ discipline is appreciated by the administration and gave excellent performances during the interviews. We hope they will continue to succeed and serve as role models for the institute.
